In stock form, the 2010 Honda CRZ will produce 102 horsepower from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder mated to an electric motor good for an additional 20 horsepower. It is rumored that with the help of Mugen, the much anticipated 2010 Honda CRZ Type R will produce 150 horsepower from the 1.5-liter four cylinder and a stronger electric motor will add an additional 50 horsepower for a total of 200 horses. Honda also plans to reconfigure the suspension, upgrade the brake calipers and make some body modifications to the exterior. Another cool feature the 2010 Honda CRZ Type R will have is the “Sport Plus” mode which is said will modify the steering, the throttle response, the start-stop system and the electric motor assist.
